We are a creative and educational center dedicated to the art of puppetry. We have many interesting activities for children’s groups, families and adults.
In addition to our Museum Exhibits, we offer:

Puppet Show – Little Red Riding Hood
Puppetry Arts Institute presents “Red Riding Hood,” performed by Kraig Kensinger, on Saturdays, April 5, 12, and 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at 11025 E. Winner Road in Independence. Enjoy this classic tale of a trickster wolf and a spunky girl heroine, plus a preview of a new puppet musical in the works called “Little Red.” Admission is $5 per person (infants age 2 and under admitted free). Make your own puppet at home
PAI offers Puppet Making Kits for your children or groups. Choose puppet head(s) from photos above. Recommended for ages 5 and up. Kit information: Cost: $12 per puppet. Each kit includes: One puppet head of your choice One puppet costume (in color of your choice) Six acrylic paints (red, blue, yellow, brown, black and white) Brushes available for purchase, if needed (cost: $1 per set of 2 brushes) Instructions on how to mix paints to create new colors List of additional materials you will need.
